Deck the Halls - A Festive Celebration
of Holiday Magic and Collaboration

On Friday, December 1st, Erskine Academy brought the magic of the season to life with our spectacular Deck the Halls event, and what a night it was!

Throughout the week, student groups, dedicated faculty members, and many helping hands worked seamlessly together to create an unforgettable holiday experience on our campus. We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who assisted with setting up and decorating for the festivities and those who facilitated activities throughout the night. From our LEO Club to FBLA, JMG, TGIF, and HOPE, the combined efforts of many helping hands created an enchanting event for all.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the tree lighting ceremony. What started with the glow of one magnificent tree soon expanded to include two others, casting a warm and enchanting light over the entire event. The twinkling lights against the winter night sky created an ambiance that perfectly captured the spirit of the season.

Santa Claus and his elves made a memorable appearance, adding to the festive cheer. The joyous reactions from both young and old as they greeted the jolly old man added an extra layer of magic to the night. Laura Benedict and her team from the Red Barn Roadshow also joined us and provided treats for the tastebuds of those in attendance.

We're thrilled to announce that Deck the Halls will become an annual tradition at Erskine Academy. As we look forward to future celebrations, we invite more community members to join us, making this festive gathering an even more cherished occasion for all.

To our entire EA community, we extend our warmest wishes for a joyous holiday season, and we look forward to seeing you in 2024.

Unwrap the Gift of Giving this Holiday Season
As we immerse ourselves in the warmth and joy of the holidays, let's take a moment to reflect on the true spirit that makes this time of year magical – the spirit of giving. Amid festive lights, cozy gatherings, and the excitement of gift-giving, there's a unique joy that comes from sharing with others.

This holiday season, consider the profound impact a simple act of kindness can have on someone's life. Whether it's lending a helping hand, donating to a local charity, or spending time with those who may be feeling lonely, the gift of giving is one that keeps on giving.

One EA group that gives to others throughout the year is our HOPE Club. Recently, the group was able to give out Thanksgiving baskets to local families in need, and they are hoping to provide food baskets for Christmas holiday celebrations as well. HOPE accepts donations during the holidays and beyond so that they can continue to support EA students and families who need a little extra support. If you would like to assist HOPE with holiday giving this year, please contact advisor Shara MacDonald at smacdonald@erskine247.com.

At the Deck the Halls event, many in attendance generously donated to our Toy and Stocking Stuffer Drive, which will benefit the Maine Children's Home and help bring the joy of the season to children and families in need. We sincerely thank all who donated for contributing to this worthy cause. This holiday season, we hope that we will all remember that the gifts of compassion and empathy can bring joy and comfort to those who may be facing challenges during the holidays. Here's to a December filled with love, kindness, and the spirit of giving!
